South Caucasian bagface
Description
One of two similar late 19th century bagfaces I acquired as a pair. A strong simple border, repeat motif on an ivory ground within a lattice framework create a striking graphic. All the colours are natural, the pile is lustrous. In original as-found condition, as befits a collectable piece.
