Tekke 12-gul torba
Description
Early 19th century, possibly earlier, the colours are beautifully saturated, and the knotting is as fine as velvet. It was treasured by the Tekke family whose heirloom chest it graced, and it would be a highlight of any modern Turcomen collection. Some very minor repair work to top corners. Published in an early edition of the German publication “Carpet Collector”.
