Malatya yuruk fragment
Description
A riot of saturated colours, leaning heavily on the reds, this mid 19th century eastern Anatolian rug was probably woven by Kurdish weavers. In a distressed but conserved condition (losses to sides, top, and bottom) the pile is full and lustrous.
